Community Involvement
Giving Back to South Jordan
Good dental care does not stop at the office door. When a dental practice is truly woven into the fabric of its community, it reflects something deeper than clinical skill — it reflects a commitment to the people being served. For many families in the Salt Lake Valley, access to quality dental care is not guaranteed, and local support from practitioners who genuinely care can make a life-changing difference.
Willden Family Dental has called South Jordan home for over two decades, and in that time, Dr. Ryan Willden and our team have made community involvement a core part of how we practice. From donating dental equipment to underserved populations to showing up for local students and families year after year, we believe that a healthy community starts with healthy smiles — and we are proud to play an active role in building both.
Donation to Salt Lake Donated Dental Services
One of the most meaningful ways we give back is through our ongoing support of Salt Lake Donated Dental Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality dental care to low-income and homeless individuals throughout Salt Lake County. In 2025, we contributed nearly $9,000 in dental equipment to their clinic — resources that go directly toward treating patients who would otherwise have no access to care.
Salt Lake Donated Dental Services has been a cornerstone of dental outreach in our region since 1990, and we are honored to support their mission. Donating functional, quality equipment is one concrete way we can extend the reach of what we do every day in our office to patients far beyond our walls. It is a partnership we are proud of and one we hope to continue.
Volunteering for The Give Kids a Smile Event
We were among the over 300 volunteers who came together for the University of Utah School of Dentistry’s 2026 Give Kids a Smile event — one of the Salt Lake Valley’s most impactful annual dental outreach days. At this event, 191 children received more than $148,000 in free dental care, with each child receiving an average of $776 in treatment that day alone.
Events like Give Kids a Smile reflect a truth we hold close in our practice: every child deserves access to dental care, regardless of their family’s financial situation. When kids miss out on early care, the effects can follow them for years. Being part of an effort that served nearly 200 children in a single day is something our team carries with pride.
Sponsorship of Bingham High School’s Dance Company and Football Teams
Community involvement also means showing up for the young people in our own backyard. We have been consistent sponsors of Bingham High School, supporting both the school’s dance company and football team. These programs matter to the families we serve every day, and contributing to them is one way we stay connected to the community that has supported us throughout the years.
Whether it is a student hitting the field on a Friday night or a young dancer performing on stage, these are the same kids and families we have the privilege of caring for. Investing in their opportunities outside of school goes hand in hand with the care we provide inside our office.
Schedule With a Team That Cares About More Than Your Smile
At Willden Family Dental, we believe that being a good dental practice means being a good neighbor. The relationships we build with our patients and our community are just as important to us as the clinical outcomes we work toward every day. That commitment starts the moment you walk through our door and extends well beyond it.
Dr. Willden and our team bring that same philosophy into every appointment — attentive, patient-centered care delivered by people who genuinely invest in the people around them. If you are looking for a dental home where your family is valued, we would love to meet you. Contact our office to schedule your visit and experience the difference that community-first care feels like.
